Hi friends! How are you? I hope you’re enjoying the morning so far. After a long week, I’m pumped that it’s Friday and looking forward to the weekend. Even when we don’t have a lot of official plans, it’s nice to know we’ll be together as a family…and get to alternate sleeping in late.
We’ve got a little road trip planned and I’m going to start getting things ready for Easter + a couple of upcoming get-togethers at the house. I’d love to hear what you have going on!
(Livi’s Placard Original Belle dress arrived! She adores it.)
(Leftover curry; I’ll share the recipe this weekend!)
It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my top finds, wears, reads, and random faves from the week. It’s always fun to hear about your faves, too, so please shout them out in the comments if you would like.
Fashion + Beauty:
This Express polka dot dress (<— on sale!) I figured it would be cute with my low-top sneakers. It’s a nice fabric – it doesn’t feel flimsy at all – and I’m loving the tie detail on the sleeves + retro-ish print.
I like how it’s casual while still feeling put-together and I can still do all the mom things in it.
This Beautycounter lip gloss. I’ve been wearing the bare shimmer for awhile over lipstick, and have gotten quite a few questions on Instagram about it. (Just put it on top of any lipstick for a pop of gloss!) It’s the perfect neutral color and is nontoxic…which is nice since we tend to accidentally ingest our lipglosses and lipsticks. (I really like it over this tarte lipstick.)
I think I need this sweatshirt.
Read + watch:
This is amazing on so many levels. “This was clean” basically told the story of my life.
Another Greatest Showman medley that will rock your world.
JP Sears has to be from San Diego.
Lin (<— I often talk about him like we’re BFFs) is just the best ever.
I wish Mister Rogers was still around, but I’ll have to settle for all the feels in this upcoming biopic.
Three fantastic cooking resources were released this week, and it makes my heart happy to see blogger friends crushing it.
Check out my friend Lindsay’s “Dinner on the Fly” ebook. So many realistic weeknight dinner options here! We’ll definitely be using these tips and ideas for frantic weeknights.
The Pretty Dish! My friend Jess sent me a copy of her newest book to check out, and I’m so excited for her. It’s full color, the pictures are gorgeous (as always) and the recipes are innovative and exciting. We have our eye on so many things, and I’ll definitely be implementing some new recipes into our meal planning.
Brittany’s new ebook, Fit With Five! It’s beautifully-designed and everything looks fresh, healthy, and vibrant. These five-ingredient recipes are perfect for quick and healthy eats. I’m going to make some today with the ingredients we have on hand, and am stoked about getting some new ideas.
Fitness:
Try this Tabata-style barre workout for an awesome burn.
5 forgotten 90s workout videos.
Why even a short burst of exercise is worth it.
Food:
The girls and I are enjoying the Vegan Rob’s Cauliflower Puffs and Brussel Sprout Puffs. <— ordered from Thrive Market. I wish Bella’s sassy lil face wasn’t so blurry in the pic above.
The amount of vegetables in said puffs is probably negligible, but they’re fluffy, savory (like Pirate’s Booty) and snackable.
Roasted broccoli with Tahini dressing.
These vegan desserts look bomb dot com.
Happy Friday, friends! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see ya soon.
xo
